I had the honor of collaborating with Hjelp oss å Hjelpe (Help Us Help), a remarkable NGO in Norway that leverages its strong social media presence to provide direct support to those in need — whether it’s food, clothing, or contributions to special causes, like funding a child’s birthday. They’ve further expanded their outreach by opening community cafés, where marginalized individuals can come for a warm drink and much-needed companionship.

The logo I designed for Hjelp oss å Hjelpe was selected as the winner in a public voting competition. The design uses symbolic elements to reflect the organization’s mission — with curves connecting “Hjelp” (Help) and “oss” (us), culminating in a final curve that symbolizes extending help to those in need. This visual representation emphasizes the collective effort and goodwill central to the organization’s work.

A unique aspect of the design is a subtle speech bubble, which not only serves as a visual element but also encapsulates the organization’s voice, mission, and call to action. It conveys the message that their work is rooted in dialogue and community support.

After completing the logo, I created an in-depth brand guideline book to ensure consistency as Hjelp oss å Hjelpe continues to expand, both digitally and in physical spaces like their community cafés. This project allowed me to combine thoughtful symbolism with practical design, highlighting the power of branding to elevate an organization’s impact and outreach.
