For 11 years, I played an integral role in shaping and strengthening the visual and marketing presence of GODIVA Chocolatier across multiple channels, from travel retail to cafés. My contributions spanned the entire brand experience, combining creative design with strategic marketing to deliver consistent, impactful results.

At the core of my work was visual merchandising, where I designed compelling in-store displays and experiential activations that highlighted the craftsmanship and elegance of GODIVA’s products. Whether for seasonal collections, limited edition or permanent offerings, my goal was to ensure that every customer interaction with the brand in-store was an elevated experience. This was further complemented by my role in art direction for photoshoots, where I meticulously crafted visual narratives that captured the premium quality and beauty of GODIVA products. These photoshoots supported both in-store displays and digital campaigns, ensuring a seamless visual identity.

Beyond retail, I also took charge of GODIVA’s regional and channel specific packaging design (global travel retail and domestic EMEA), developing both core and limited edition product packaging. My focus was on designs that resonated with the brand’s luxurious image while also reflecting each product’s unique story. In tandem with this, I directed the production of chocolate moulds, particularly for chocolate hollow figurines, ensuring that the physical form of these intricate pieces aligned perfectly with the brand’s premium standards. Paired with my work in product ideation, I collaborated closely with internal teams to brainstorm and refine new product concepts, always ensuring that the brand’s heritage and innovation were woven into each idea.

In addition to my 3D work, I managed a wide range of graphic design projects that helped solidify GODIVA’s visual presence. This included creating logos, art direction for corporate catalogues, and managing all print materials from ideation to execution. These efforts ensured that every piece of printed collateral maintained the same high standard and visual consistency as GODIVA’s retail and digital experiences.

I also led trade fair design initiatives, where I developed engaging booth layouts and immersive displays. These designs were carefully crafted to do more than just attract attention; they created a fully branded experience that transported attendees into the world of GODIVA. Every element of the booth, from the layout to the visual materials, was designed to reflect the luxury and craftsmanship of the brand. I focused on ensuring that the spaces were not only visually striking but also functional, allowing for seamless interactions with visitors, whether they were sampling products, engaging with brand representatives, or exploring new product launches. This approach helped to make a lasting impression and reinforced GODIVA’s premium positioning at key industry events.

On the digital side, I developed and managed GODIVA’s social media strategy and spearheaded the creation of social media content. Through carefully crafted campaigns, I helped the brand engage with its online audience and grow its presence on platforms like Instagram and Facebook. I was also responsible for designing web banners and leading out-of-home advertising campaigns that seamlessly blended the online and offline brand experience. Each digital campaign was tailored to uphold the brand’s luxury positioning while being accessible and engaging for a broader audience.

One of my key achievements was establishing and managing GODIVA’s influencer ambassador program. Through strategic partnerships with influencers, we were able to expand the brand’s reach and engage with a wider audience in an authentic and organic way. This program played a significant role in GODIVA’s digital marketing strategy, helping the brand stay relevant and connected in a rapidly changing social media landscape.

Through my decade-long journey with GODIVA, I learned to merge creative design with smart, effective marketing strategies. My ability to seamlessly move between visual design, brand strategy, and digital marketing is what allows me to deliver high-impact results. Today, I bring that experience to my freelance services, offering clients the same level of dedication, creativity, and strategic thinking that helped elevate GODIVA to a global audience.
